Northeast Utilities, working with other utilities and stakeholders in New England, initiated a collaborative planning effort to attract and support electric vehicles in the greater Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York area. The Essex Partnership has played an important role in supporting the Regional Electric Vehicle Initiative (REVI) with communication and outreach efforts and organization of a utilities working group focused on ongoing policy and planning for vehicle arrival in 2011.
For this project Essex is providing adjunct staff level support to the consortium, allowing our client’s regular staff to focus on their primary responsibilities. This appraoch has provided a cost effective solution to maintain daily operations while simultaneously building momentum for this innovative regional planning effort.
