Essex is providing strategic engineering and optimization analyses to Central Vermont Public Service Corporation on three newly acquired hydropower assets. The three stations had previously been operated by a local industrial host for over 40 years with minimal upgrades. Essex is working closely with the new Owner to identify opportunities to increase capacity and production at each of the facilities with minimal impact on the prevailing regulatory criteria. The analysis identified equipment repowering options that would increase the installed capacity and generation by approximately 25%. Essex is now working with the Owner to implement the optimized configuration.
