Distributed generation represents one of the most promising strategic energy choices for industries to reduce their electric bills and increase energy independence. The Essex Partnership is currently engaged in several efforts to develop distributed generation assets in New England.

Collaborative discussions between developers, regulators, and non-governmental organizations are taking place throughout the country to examine regional scale energy development opportunities. These efforts range from watershed-scale hydropower planning to coordinating the mulit-state infrastructure needs in preparation for the arrival of next-generation electric vehicles.

BDCP is a collaborative effort involving water users resource agencies to develop a Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) that would allow for continued water diversions while protecting listed species.

As the Owner’s Engineer and fiduciary agent, Essex oversaw the engineering, procurement and construction to repower the 80MW combined cycle project.
